Kiribi (discipline)

Hello everyone.

There are only three days left in September. Autumn is in full swing.

This time it's discipline!
It is pronounced "kiribi."
This is the process of marking the lines of the pattern onto the left and right pieces of fabric.

Place the pattern on the roughly cut fabric and draw lines.

At this stage, the only marking is on the back of the right side of the fabric, so sew along the chalk lines with two strands of basting thread, leaving some slack in the thread.

The sewing is done!
If they are cut too finely it can damage the fabric, so the spacing should be about 2 to 3 cm.

At this stage, trim the seam allowance.
I think this will allow you to cut with less misalignment between the left and right sides.

Cut the strings while you were playing with it,

Cut the threads between the inner fabric.

The most important thing to remember here is not to cut the fabric! It goes without saying...
Putting the scissors into the brand new fabric and cutting the threads is the most nerve-wracking moment.

Once you have finished cutting the middle threads, cut off the remaining long threads and your cutting is complete!

The markings are the same on both sides!
We cut and sew all the parts! There is no time to relax, but this is an essential process to accurately transfer the pattern onto the fabric. We proceed with sewing with the utmost care.

I'll be off now.
