It's hot, too hot.
It seems like we just turned a new year, and already half of February is over.
Just as snow finally started to fall in Tokyo,
Suddenly the temperature exceeded 20 degrees.
The tax return isn't over yet.
Every day is a mess.
Recently, on January 28th, my master, Shunputei Ichinosuke, celebrated his 46th birthday.
My friend sent me a LINE message saying,
"Today is Master's birthday! Happy birthday!"
And then it happened.
It's not my birthday, so I don't know how to respond.
Master, you are loved.
A few months ago, some of the people who came to my solo performance said,
"Hey, did you see Tetsuko's Room the other day?"
I was told.
Of course, it wasn't me who appeared, but my master.
"I saw it too."
That's all I can say.
Master, you are loved.
Every year on the morning of January 28th, all of us disciples visit our master's house to give him a birthday present.
Nowadays, they give one present "from all the disciples," but originally they each gave one.
I remember clearly the day that change occurred.
It's the first birthday of the fourth disciple, Kanichi, who joined the group.
Each of us chose a present that we thought would please our master, but being just beginners, we didn't have the money to buy anything expensive.
Books, scarves, stationery, belts (synthetic leather).
The items lined up look like they're at a flea market.
This made my master feel uncomfortable.
"Thank you. I don't think you guys will be able to say it, so from next year onwards, we can all just have one."
And that brings us to today.
The first present from his disciples was completely wireless earphones.
It's a world of difference from last year's gift.
After all, if we all work together we can buy something decent.
The master also
"Oi! Why are they connected when they're not?!"
He was very happy.
The next year it was a robot vacuum cleaner.
In the first place, it feels like the disciples should be cleaning the house.
He liked this too, and at first he walked behind the robot vacuum cleaner while controlling it with the controller.
No one would say something rude like, "It would be faster to just vacuum it."
So this year I bought a portable electric shaver.
Until now, my master had been using something he bought at a convenience store for about 1,500 yen.
Even with the cover broken and the blade slightly exposed, I continued to use it for several days, and sometimes I would go on stage bleeding.
We could have prevented that.
Please let me know if you ever go on stage bleeding in the future.
I will replace it immediately.
