The Cloakroom is an international suit custom salon with branches in Australia and Canada. Its story began when the Japanese director, Masashi Shimada, Italian-Canadian Louis Ialenti, and Australian Andrew Byrne met in Florence. Their goal was to create a new, modern tailoring style that was based on tradition. To achieve this, a unique multinational team was born.

Modern while respecting tradition, perfectly suited to modern lifestyles. Luxurious yet casual and light. To achieve the kind of tailoring required in the modern era, collaboration with artisans with a high level of skill was necessary. Naturally, The Cloakroom chose Japanese craftsmen. The quality that can only be achieved through Japanese manufacturing was essential to The Cloakroom's style.
